How do I link to pdf document stored in site1 folder

Can someone help please - How do i link to a pdf document?

From the product description you would type the following:

    !!<<a href="http://www.yourdomain.co.uk/acatalog/blahblah.pdf">Your text here</a>>!!

Or you can use the product link feature in the product layout settings.

If linking to an MPEG, MP3, AVI etc it would offer the option to open or save ... depnding on the user settings in their browser

          You might want to use

          !!<<a href="http://www.yourdomain.co.uk/acatalog/blahblah.pdf" target="_blank">Your text here</a>>!!

as this will open the document in a new window and not move the customer off your product page.

Keep these documents in your Site folder and Actinic will automatically upload them for you.

Micheline - please don't ask the same question in two threads - it's confusing and can cause people to waste their time answering a question that has already been answered elsewhere.

Sorry, I didn't mean to be curt. Unfortunately I just spent some time putting together quite a long response only to find the same had already been done in the other thread.

                        Micheline,

We're all volunteers here and should not be contacted directly asking for specific help (unless you're wanting to hire us).
