    Bounce page error

    Hi all

The following is an ongoing problem on my site, Actinic support have been looking at it for a month with no joy. They originally said it was a bug which would be fixed in the next patch. Now they say they can't find a problem on the snapshot I sent them and have no answer. Hopeing maybe someone has some ideas.

    1) When a customer puts a product into the shopping cart the bounce back goes to the home page rather than the page from which one came originally.
    2) When someone wants a seperate delivery address you are just returned to the previous page and no option is offered. We have obviously looked at the site/design options and can find no reason for it not too work.

Please see, please forgive the basic site, we run a plant nursery and are not computer wizards, but it does produce a good number of orders for us. The public have not mentioned the problem and they continue to order but it must reduce the size of their purchases.

We have compacted/ reinstalled etc even downloaded a completely new copy of Actinic 8 with no joy. I should also say that we upgraded to this from our old v7 site which didn't have this problem

    Thanks Nigelhttp://community.actinic.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

This is because your link on the basket page is referencing the homepage - it should reference the last page. But you know this!

Try deleting the bounce delay value - this may sort things??

      No luck

      Hi

Thanks for the advice I reduced the bounce delay to 0 but that means it freezes to the cart page, go back returns one to the page you came from, continuing shopping sends one to the home page http://community.actinic.com/images/smilies/cool.gif
. Can't help but think the two problems are linked.

          No Luck

          Hi

I deleted it the first time but as you apply it actinic puts a zero value into the box. No way I can find of leaving blank.

Was your site standard actinic when you upgraded it or had it be customised??

              Hi

Standard; we have not done anything apart from use the original template (Formal), with maybe the buttons from curves.

              Thanks

Thanks anyway, as I say orders still coming in but it is a pain.

I would say the problem can be solved but it is difficult on the forum and if Actinic have already looked then it is not a simple fix.
