Duplicate Section Names

I have a 'bookshop' and it has an Authors section, unfortunatly some authors have the same name! I have used a hierarchical file to import the authors and even though I have given every author a unique 'product reference' after the import I get an error file listing the duplicated authors names.

Will Actinic not be able to cope with these duplicated section names?

If not, help!

I don't want to have to append "1 of 2", or "2 of 2" to the names if I can help it so does anyone have any ideas?

If you are using Authors names as the Section Names, then you'll have to either

1) List books from several same name authors together. So you import them all as various Products after a single Section name.

2) Amend your Author name so they're not the same before you do the import. Do this in a way that helps your customers. E.g. Joe Bloggs (SCI-FI) writer. Joe Bloggs (Romance).
