It's only easy if you know how....

    Hi

I've spent the last couple of hours trying to sort my horizontal nav bar out. I've searched the forum and read the AUG but can't seem to solve my problem.

All I want to do is change the appearance of my nav bar so that it's tabbed. "Easy" I hear you say. But how???

Where do I put the css for the nav bar?

Do I have to create 1 tab for each heading or will css sort it out.

Please help someone..... A pleb's guide to changing the nav bar will do nicely.

    Thanks in advance

Do you mean change it from a text based nav bar to a button nav bar?

I think this can be done through the themes options>buttons or site settings I dont remember exactly. Changing the theme will easily sort it though.

I would go to a site like "alistapart" and learn how to create a tabbed menu.

Once you have got the hang of that return to actinic with a view to integrating it. Within actinic you will need to add your css to actinicstylesheet and then insert the html at the appropriate insertion point

I can see the links in design, but can you please tell me where the css goes? Do I add it to the Horizonatal Nav Bar text links module?

I'm sorry about this, I know it's probably very obvious to those who know what to do, but I'm still learning and your help would be greatly appreciated.

                Thanks in advance

CSS is stored in the Actinic stylesheet, which is available from the drop down menu on the design view.
