    Quick Actinic/Sage Query

    Hello,

Sorry if this is a bit of a simple question, I have searched the forum and think I already know the answer, but I just need to be sure before I go and spend a big wodge of money on new software.

I want to use Actinic Link from V8 MultiUser to Sage 50 Accountant (v10).

Am I correct in thinking that transferring orders as a Batch Invoice will not update stock details in Sage?

I suppose my question is, is there any way I can maintain stock details in Sage without having to generate a new customer account for each order?

And if not, do I need a new version of Sage?

    Thanks

    Hi Simon

I will need to do a check about this with development. I'll check with them and then get back to you.

      Hi Simon

Development have confirmed that it's not possible to update stock details in sage using batch invoice. I'm checking with them if there is a patch or an alternate method to achieve this . I'll update the thread when I hear back from them.

We transfer orders into Sage using a single sales ledger account, and do the SOP & invoicing in there. Works very well and keeps your stock straight.

You'll need to upgrade to L50 Fin Con to do it, I believe, as SOP isn't in Accountant.

          Thanks Dave & Kiran,

I thought that was probably the case.

I'd better see if my colleagues fancy shelling out for a grands worth of SAGE.

          Cheers again

If they do, why not drop me a line? As a reseller I may be able to make the pill a little less bitter!
