customer orders

Hello,
We have just started to evaluate Actinic V8 Developer.
The answer to a quick question may determine whether we continue to evaluate the product and that is:
If we design several online shops for clients how do these clients get access to the orders placed through the shop?
Does this mean purchasing additional software?

If you want to design shops and pass them on to customers to run you should buy Actinic designer rather than developer which is in essence a cheaper version of Actinic multisite that does not have order processing facilities (other than a few for demo purposes). Then you can sell Catalog client or Business client to each of your customers and they can use the site to process orders. If they also want to take over the site design, you need to sell the a standard Catalog or Business.

There is one other option that was recently confirmed by Actinic as being OK and that is if your clients do not need the advanced capabilities of Client then you can set up the website to email them copies of the customer receipt email and they can then process the order based on that. It will not contain any payment details ie Card numbers so they will need to be processed by a psp if this method is used.

It does have several limitations and a forum search will show them.
