    Fragments above sub-sections...

    Hello,

I've created a section selling a designer wear and then have product sub-sections.

What I would like to do is to place a fragment at the top - spanning the two columns of sub-sections below - with information about the designer for that section.

I've tried a few things but the fragment still shows underneath all the sub-sections. I have now reverted the layouts I changed back to the original settings.

Is there anyway of bringing the fragments to appear above sub-sections?

Yes, switch top sub section layout to the setting No Layout, and switch Bottom sub section layout to the setting you want to display.

        Hi,

I am trying to do the same but for the main catalogue page, i would like a fragment to be show above all my sections.

I have tried the above method but it only made all my sections dissapear.

Are you sure you set the Bottom Sub Section Layout to the layout that was used before for the top?

Select your section where you want the fragment at the top. Then select the layout tab - scroll to Section and the first item you will see is Bottom Sub Section List Layout - scroll further down and you will see Top Sub Section List Layout - these are the ones you need to change.

You could select the parent section and then all child sections could be set to same as parent.

(BTW - In the layout listing - I have no idea why the Bottom one is at the top and the Top one is at theBottom!!)

Ok, i thaught so - i have 2 "Top Sub Section List Layout" entries in that tab.

They both have different drop down lists as well. which one do i change?

In the little info box underneath, one says "... inherited from #Catalog name#..." and the other says "... inherited from variable definition..."

                  Hi Dan

I'm not sure how "Top Sub Section List Layout" is appearing twice, are they both appearing under the Section area of the Layout tab? Anyways try changing the one which says "inherited from variable definition..." and see what happens.

let us know how it goes

                  Kind Regards
