v8 MultiSite - Script Problems

Hi,

We have recently bought Multisite, and just tried uploading it last night. Our main site lives at the root of our domain, and we tried uploading the new site onto the same webspace but under a new domain name which forwards you to a different folder on the webspace

eg. <root folder> / <new site folder> / <acatalog>

This is causing general script errors in our original site, so does anyone have any experience of whether its possible to run two copies of actinic on the same web space folder structure, and whether this is safe.

The error we are getting is "Error: "..//acatalog/error.err" contains invalid characters." and this happens as soon as you try to add to cart.

The script error on the original site no longer occurs, but only because I deleted the new acatalog folder, and then the new sites cgi-bin contents.

Does having similar named scripts in the same folder structure cause problems like these? Or are the two Actinic sites looking at each others cgi-bins????

What did you use as network settings? And Script ID Number?

I understand you to be saying you have

root - contains index.html brochure page for site 1
- - - cgi-bin/ - contains script AA00000x.pl for site 1
- - - acatalog/ - contains shop for site 1
- - - new domain root/ - contains index.html for site 2
- - - |- - - - - - acatalog/ - contains shop for site 2
- - - |- - - - - - cgi-bin/ - contains scripts AA00000x.pl for site 2
x MUST be a different number for each site to be sure of no cross contamination.
