Questions about Product Choices and Products with no prices

I have been using Actinic V8 for less than a day now and have found it very easy to get to grips with the basics but I have 2 problems that I am trying to work through and if anyone has any info that could help it would be gratefully accepted.

    1. I have applied choices to a product but would like to be able to have the choice that is selected to have an effect on the price of that product.

For example, if the product is a roll of carpet 1 metre wide I would like the choices to be the length of the roll. Obviously a 50m long roll would cost more than a 25m roll. So can the choice selected change the product price?

    2. Some products have prices which change on a regular basis and changing the data daily isnt ideal. Can we get Actinic to display "Phone for price" or "POA" instead of a price?

Thats it, as I said any help would be great.

1 - If the product is set up as a metre costs £x.xx, will the quantity box not do this for you? i.e. if 1 metre costs £10 and i order 10, then i will be charged 10 x £10 etc. Alternatively if you want to provide set sizes, then look up permutations in the help within Actinic, it will explain it far better.

2 - You could create a custom layout for products that require POA and apply it to the relevant products or put no price on the product and make it clear within the description that people need to phone.

Thanks, I will look into all this. The quantity box wont work for the different lengths as 100m may not cost twice what 50 would. Thats just an example. We are looking to put nails and screws etc up on a site and there are a number of screws that are 3mm in diameter but there may be a number of different lengths. So 3x10mm, 3x15mm, 3x20mm, 3x30mm so you can see the quantity wont do it.

This is basically so that we can have one product listing for each type of screw but with lots of length options each one with its own price.
