    Problem with offline preview?

    Hello,

Am just in the process of upgrading our site from Catalog v7 to v8.

We use a layout that shows 2 sidebars per page and in these left and righ columns we add info boxes, links etc as well as displaying cart contents
    (see http://www.littleherbal-international.com).

However, when I do an offline preview of the updated brochure pages, on some of the pages the text/info boxes do not appear in the right hand column but are tagged on at the bottom of the page, after the main body of text.

Not sure if this is simply a problem with the preview feature and, as we don't have a test environment, I'm reluctant to upload the full site to check as we receive web orders throughout the day.

    Can anyone advise please?

    Regards,

99% sure that the width of the items you are trying to show is wider than the container that holds them. Therefore the only option is for it to wrap underneath.

You can easily switch to test mode to try anything out without any effect on a live site.

Thanks for the tip Lee, will try this out.

On each page (inc products) we have a graphical header image than spans the middle part of the page. Works fine in v7 so making these smaller may be the answer. Will keep you posted.

Just to let the forum know, another import of the site seems to have done the trick. For whatever reason, the previous import adopted a CSS theme to all the pages instead of the specified (smart) theme.

        All looks OK now!
