VAT setting for section

Stupid question really,

Can you set a VAT option (e.g. NO VAT) for a section.. or do I have to wish for this?

You cannot make a section exempt VAT on that level, you can however have a section and set each individual product in the section to charge VAT @ Exempt or Zero Rated. This is done by adjusting the 'Tax Treatment' on the 'Details' tab of the product. Click in where it says 'VAT (Normal)' and use the drop down to select the appropriate one you need.

Why not?

It will make my whole live easier for our Used Equipment section to have a default setting on No VAT/Exempt/Zero Rated.

As you said; every time I have added a new product I have had to edit the Tax Treatment details.
