The new "Edit Layout in Dreamweaver" option (v. 8.5.0.0.0.0 beta)

Hi all,

I don't know if anyone has used this yet, but I really feel that it's a tremendously powerful option to use. I will certainly be using it an awful lot in my designs.

Anyway, after using the option in Actinic, my design opens in Dreamweaver, but how do I then transfer any amendments back in Actinic?

I've tried saving the file and going back to Actinic, but my changes aren't there.

Is the only option to copy and paste the code?

Hi Simon

If you look in the 'Actinic' menu in DW, you'll see there is a 'Submit Changes To Actinic' option, which passes your changes back to Actinic.

Erm ... actually Chris, on closer inspection, I don't seem to have that option in the DW / Actinic menu.

Do I need to re-run the plug-in for this to take effect?

Yes - you'll need to install the 8.5 DW extension in order to get the new 8.5 functionality in Dreamweaver.
