Address line 3 required field

Hi there,

I'm currently trying to get our store working in V8 from V6, and am having some trouble with the customers database...

Certain fields appear to be required in V8, while in V6 they were not required. This means that we have quite a lot of customers to import with missing fields, who we have been trading with without problems in the past.

Is there some way to change what fields are required in customer fields - especially address line 3?

Oh, I forgot, when importing a heirachical file of customers, any customers without an address line 3 (or other required field) are imported with no address, and no user logins...

You can change the 'required' flag in 'Design | Text | Web site(Cont) | Invoice Address'. Here uncheck the 'required' box, click on apply and that should fix it for you.
