Linking to New Products from outside Actinic

Hi All,
I have my new product list in a side bar box and would like to bring this list into pages outside the shopping cart in a similar way to having the search box or shopping cart contents in these pages. Does anyone have the correct code to use please, I have tried a number of variations but none seem to work.

Jane,

Are you using actinic brochure pages or external one's?

If they are Actinic ones then you need to copy the layout selector from the catalog overall layout and place it in the Brochure overall layout where you want it to appear.

Thanks for your reply. I am using external not brochure pages where I have the view cart, search and sections links working but not the new products. I do hope this is possible.

Any other suggestions please on how I can get the new products list to appear on pages outside the actinic generated pages.

You will have to copy the generated code from a page listing the new products and place that in your external page.

I have tried this, but unlike the sections and shopping cart contents, it does not update when the new products change. Perhaps this is not possible, but I hope it is.

I am afraid, updates will need to be done manually. Perhaps someone on the forum has an idea as to how to get this working.

Thanks for looking into this - hope there's someone who has got this working. Will post up details if I find a solution.
