reducing the steps in the checkout process

Is there any way of reducing the number of pages in the checkout process? I've been looking for something to buy that will streamline it but can't seem to find anything.

    Cheers,

        I a word - YES

It stems back to the request location early, so i am told, which means the shipping can be calculated before the user checks out but some of us never use it but it has to be there.

Invoice & Delivery address on the same page would be good, and included the country in it aswell then that is three pages to one just my thoughts i am sure others have some aswell

        Cheers

          Megan,

Darren is correct about why the number of checkout pages cannot be reduced.

I will add another vote on your behalf.

          Darren:
Will add your requests to the list too.

          Kind regards,

            Thanks Bruce

even including invoice and delivery oon the same page would take one out of the loop, for different delivery address

or would ASP checout pages be the way to go

            Cheers

              Please add my vote

Please add my vote to both those categories. We are experiencing massive shopping cart abandonment due to delivery address confusion and the just the general process being to lengthy. I look forward to the update when these issues will be resolved.

I think I'd rather have three or four small pages than maybe two large ones where its easy to `miss` filling in something, but thats just me.

Remember there is the checkout progress thingy add-on that some like as it lets the customer know wheres they are in the process.

Actually, I wouldn't not complete a sale just 'cos there were four pages in the checkout process, I mean, you've sold the goods, the price is obviously right, it'll take a lot longer to find another site with the same and go through another checkout routine. Just a thought etc.
