Java Applet stops working

I'm in the process of moving a v6 site to v7.

I seem to have everything in order, but the java applet that was quite happily working not 15 minutes since on this PC, has just stopped. All I'm getting is the blank box where it ought to be.

Any bright ideas, anyone?
