Putting Thumbnail pictures in the right hand column

Hello,

I would like to put thumbnail pictures linked to sections or products in the right hand column.

If you look at www.1stconnectnetworks.co.uk you will see the right hand column labeled "offers & products". (one under the other)

I would like to put pictures of products or sections of interest with a small description.

Could some one help me on this please?

One of the easiest ways is probably to put the 'Best Sellers' there. Locate the position in your overall layout and then add the Best Sellers Sidebar layout. You can then modify this layout to include the product images.
You can configure the Best Seller to be any products you want.

I did try this, but to no avail, but i will have another go with using best sellers again.

I notice on your fancyline web site you have special offers, plus the ability to apply for news letter, deliver info, bookmark site & email friend. Is this site Actinic, if so how did you do this? Is the special offers - renamed best sellers column?

Duncans site is currently a v7 - the side bars with images etc are added manually by hand in good old fashioned HTML. v7 does not feature anywhere near the database functionality of v8 and using the Best Sellers or New Arrivals layouts is probably the best route to take as this will automate everything and keep the site fresh. Best to go to the library first and duplicate the layout you want and then modify that .. you can then apply this to your design to have a cut down, image only side bar.

If you really want to go the HTML route and hand code the links you need to insert soemthing like:
