Wondering if anyone could shed some light on what this site would require for hosting: http://www.bake-o-glide.co.uk/

I need to sort a hosting solution for them and need to know if it uses mod_rewrite

Is there anyway of knowing if this site requires the above module?

There a several threads about recommended hosting and a list on the main Actinic website .. checking out each suppliers website should let you know if mod_rewrites are allowed (many won't allow that much control).

What are you looking to do with the mod_rewrite?

basically im after avoiding it!

the Hosting company we use doesnt support it and unfortunately the guy whos web site this is has no idea on anything technically and the old company he used arent responding so im a bit in the dark.

Actinic does not require mod_rewrite so any of the recommended hosting companies should be fine (all things being equal)
