    De-register DW Design

    Hi

I've registered a design outside of the Actinic folders using Dreamweaver. This is giving me a headache with snapshot errors, because some of the paths to the design images are also outside of Actinic.

I've resolved this by re-registering a design from within the Actinic folders. But Actinic is still looking for the original design file that is no longer used, so I'm still getting snapshot warning messages.

Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas about 'de-registering' or deleting a design?

    Many thanks.

Is it deselected from all layouts and not just the main one?

      Hi Lee

Thanks for the quick response. Incidentally, I'm in Austrey, 20 minutes from Tamworth.

I've checked through my layout site options, where these templates are set for the brochure and catalogue pages, and it's only the new designs that are selected?

From what i understand the external design is added into the available layouts and even if it is not selected, it remains available for in the future, if required.

If you are sure you will never want it again and have deselected it from all options, i go into the design library, select the outer layout and delete the layouts that i do not want.

This seems to work for me, always snapshot before you try this though.

          Hi Lee

          v6 and v7 I know what I'm doing, but v8

That's what I've been looking for. I've deleted the old outer layouts from the Library, which has removed the snapshot error. Excellent!

I'll PM you about some other v8 project related stuff that you might be interested in shortly.

          Many thanks
