    shipping problem help required

    Hi all

I have a problem which i cant get to work

I have set in Buisness settings/shipping for orders above £5 to be free anything below is set to charge £2.50

The other day it worked ok but has stopped. example of what i mean below:

If an order say for £1.99 was placed it showed the the shipping cost as extra at the bottom of £2.50. That worked OK also if the order was say for £6.50 which was above the £5 threshold the shipping charge did not appear, So all worked OK and was correct.

I have updated the site with a few other things but since then it has stopped working. It just shows the normal cost and no extra for shipping even if the order is below £5. I have checked and checked again the settings are correct in the Buisness settings -shipping and handling and all seems to be ok and as it was before but it does work anymore on the site.

I have even refreshed the whole site in case there was some sort of error there, but still the same problem.

    Can anyone help PLEASE

    Thanks Keith

Which version of Actinic are you using? (804 or 850 beta)
Post a screen capture of your shipping settings.

That may help someone to suggest an answer.

With the shipping config window showing press 'alt-Print Screen'. Then in any image editor such as paintshop pro or whatever paste the capture in and save it as a jpg file. You can then upload the image here.

Its pretty clear from your post that you want to ship by value, YET you have ship by weight selected on the left hand side in your shipping????? You cant have both, one or the other.

According to that table, if a customer ordered one of any item that did not have a weight set on the product, it would use a default weight og 0.25kg and a cost of 0.00.

The only items visibly charged for are those with a weight greater than 0.5kg up to and equal to 1kg - charged at £2.12p and packages over 1kg up to and equal to 1.75kg which are charged at £220.00 (guess you don't sell too many of those).

To do shipping by weight you need two things - Products with weights - and a weight to cost table based on real shipping costs.

I still cant get things to work. It doesnt matter what i change in the the shipping costs nothing shows on the site in regards to showing a charge for shipping/postage. Here is a new screen. For example i have just purchased a £1.99 order and it should show a £2.50 shipping charge but it does not.

DONT KNOW what im doing wrong

We need a picture that actually shows the charges also.

If you select 'By Zone' you should see the grid for the values. If you want a free over of £5, then in select a 'Shipping Class' and in the first row enter the following
                      - 'Up to Value' = £4.99 : 'Cost' =£2.50

                      Next Line
                      - 'Up to Value' = £5.00 : 'Cost' =£0.00

Set excess to 'Highest Table Value'.

                      Kind regards,
