Got asked that yesterday, I'd no idea if there was any difference. Anyone noticed any difference running v8 compared to v7?

V8 (804) does use more memory than V7. There have been reports of V8 taking longer to do it's pre-upload checking on large databases. I've got lots of memory in my developement PC and haven't noticed it affecting performance though.
Earlier releases had more speed issues. -
