    Price on Sub-Sections

    Hi everyone,

My site currently has many products, and each product has its own sub-section. The template I am using for my sub-sections consists of the product/section title, and an image of the product. I also want to display the price of the product inside the sub-section. Is this possible? If so which variable can I use the display the price. Or is there a better way of doing this?

At the moment I am having to go through and type the price in for each sub-section manually. As my site has hundreds of products this is very time consuming and it also makes updating prices twice as long, so I'm hoping there is an easier way.

If anyone has any ideas how to solve this problem, please let me know. Thanks.

    Hi,

    You have two options here:

    Option 1:

Use product duplicates with a compact layout on the section above ie:

    Section
product duplicate 1 (with compact layout)
product duplicate 2 (with compact layout)
Sub-section (may need to use a blank layout so it doesn't show on the page)
    product 1(with full details)
Sub-section (may need to use a blank layout so it doesn't show on the page)
    product 2(with full details)

    Option 2
Create a product with a compact layout and then set the 'extended info' page to open in the same window and use the 'Includes Add to Cart button' layout so this looks like the main product page ( you may need to tweak the layout so that it includes all your site design (ie navigation bars etc)). I hope that helps.
