Group discount structure question

I have built a site that sells beads. They have a discount structure that kicks in at 25, 50, and 100 beads. My question is this: within group discounts, I can make a percentage discount kick in at 25 beads, but when the next trigger level is reached, should the extra percentage discount be added to the previous discount ie. 20% +10% off, or does it replace the previous discount ie. 30% ?

Let's say I have set up the discount as :

100 beads = 12 % off
50 beads = 10% off
25 beads = 5% off

When a customer purchases equal to or more than 25 beads, but less than 50, the order will get a 5 % discount. More than 50 and less than 100 will over-ride the previous discount and apply 10%, and so on.
