Dual Shipping Settings

Hi all,
I have read through the forum and AUG but cannot see this one.
My site is generally set using value for shipping which works fine.
However I am now to send out only a few items of a fair weight and MUST charge shipping accordingly.
My question is this, can one setup just a few products to charge shipping by weight whilst leaving the remainder of the site to do it by value?

In v8.5.0 due out any day now, the answer is yes. In all other versions - I'm afraid not.
