    Windows Vista

Today I took delivery of a new laptop solely to run my Actinic V8 software. It has Windows Vista Home installed.

I Installed my Actinic CD in the normal way - tried to open the program and was met with an error message

"There is already a directoryC:\ProgramFiles\Actinicv8\Sites\Site1 and therefore a new site cannot be created. Would you like the existing directory to be renamed so that site creation can continue?"

So I click "yes" but it then goes on to report that it is not possible.

I see in the latest patch release it says V8 is now fully compatible with Vista - could this be my problem? ..My new laptop is not connected to the Internet just yet.

What version of Actinic do you have?
Download the latest version (V850) form the Actinic website - this version is compatible with Vista.

      I have 8.0.3.0.0.0

Am I correct in assuming then that I need to download the latest version to my new PC - do I uninstall Actinic before I do this, or leave it alone?

( I know how to change PCs, as Ive done this before)

      Thanks
