Being a fairly new customer, this is my first attempt at transferring data into a new Actinic build. I'’m attempting to get a 8.04 snapshot into a new 8.5 install on a test PC.
I'm keen to upgrade so I can use the new shipping features.
3 questions if I may.....
1. I notice that it's recommended that all orders in 8.04 are processed and deleted before making the snapshot. Is there a workaround to this? I have over a thousand completed orders and I'm keen to keep the order history.
2. When importing the snapshot I get the dialogue "System-supplied design has been changed. Would you like to upgrade to the latest version?"
What on earth does this mean?! Should I just accept the defaults?
Another dialogue that is meaningless to me is "There is a new standard version of Image Above Section Link layout". Again, should I just accept the defaults?
3. Finally, After the snapshot is imported a message pops up telling me that some user perl scripts have been changed - it tells me to go to ..\Actinic v8\Sites\Site1\ScriptUpdates\8.5.0000HBKA.log. For the life of me I can't see this file anywhere. Do I need to worry?
