Does a change of IP address after Google rankings?

Hi All,

I've got a dodgy hard disc on my server and host has provided a brand new box with new IP address rather than installing a new HD. I'm a bit nervous about switching servers in case Google throws a wobbly and alters our rankings. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Google should not care about the change in IP. The DNS lookup will alter that should be all.

URL's are indexed not IPs
