    site upload problem

    Hi
I tried to upload my upgraded v8 site to my server, but after getting an error message during the incremental updates section of the upload it has only uploaded half of my site.(sorry didn't take note of the error message!) I have all the catalog and other pages but no shopping cart pages, in other words customers can see the products but they can't buy.
I've been onto support and am still going back and forth with them but thought someone here might just have the answer. When I tried to do a network setup test I got the following two error messages:

"Actinic received a server error from the web server. The CGI scripts are not executing properly on the server. Run Web | Configure Web Site Details... to review your web site configuration."

"The test script failed to execute on the web server. The error could be caused by several things. Check the path to the Perl shell, the CGI script extension, the path to CGI-BIN, and the CGI-BIN URL. This error could also occur if your web site is out of disk space or your web server is not configured to accept POSTs to CGI scripts."

So on support advice I attempted to do a website purge and refresh to sort out the cgi scripts. However, the website purge and refresh button within troubleshooting is greyed out and I cannot click on it.
I've searched the knowledge base but can't find any info on this. And actinic help suggests I have a preconfigured site but what they say will show a preconfigured site eg most of network setup greyed out (mine isn't) and website configuration wizard greyed out (mine isn't).
I've been advised by support that it is likely a communication problem with my computer but I've adjusted the firewall to accept Actinic 8 and spoken to my isp who claim everything is ok on their side. And I still get the same errors.
My original website was done on V6 worked fine. I uploaded a snapshot of it to v8 and redesigned from there before uploading.
Does anybody know how to get the website purge and refresh button ungreyed and/or how to get my site fully uploaded and fully working?
Any help will be much appreciated.

I would be first inclined to connect to the server via FTP and delete the contents of the cgi-bin and check the permissions are set at "755" ... then try another upload after changing the script ID to a new number (this is in the network setup dialogue and usually defaults to 1) This type of error often happens if the host make slight changes to the server (they usually deny it has anything to do with them!) and don't tell you as they think all will be OK

      Thanks jont.
It appears that my host had changed a setting or two and I had to change my FTP settings by inserting www in front of the toys-to-you.co.uk which I didn't have to do before.
So it's all up and running now, thank goodness, I was getting v v frustrated there.
