    Upgrade layout problems

    Hi

I would be grateful if someone could take a look at our test site and tell me:-

    1. What is going wrong with the cart and checkout pages and how do I fix it?(the info is there but right at the bottom of the page - this was fine until I changed a font colour on those pages)

    2. Is it possible to line up the product description info so that it doesn't wrap around the pictures?

    3. Is it possible to move the add to cart button so that it is under the quantity box?

Link to the test site is here.

    Thanks

    1. It looks fine to me have you fixed it?

2 & 3. You change the look of any design or layout in the design tab. It can sometimes be a case of just changing the order of the code, other times you may need to add your own table and include the variables where you want them.

      Hi Lee

      1. No, I haven't fixed it. I was looking at it on the laptop. I've cranked up the two PCs and they both display the cart and the checkout correctly. The laptop is running IE6 and the PCs are running IE7 - could that be something to do with it? Hope not, as that sounds like a nightmare to a non techy like me!

I'm afraid it looks like it might be the cause of the problem.

You should also check Firefox as well, although this browser only accounts for 14% of the browser market -- it is however becoming more popular.

Browsers interpret the code differently sometimes, and it may just be a case of getting your site 'acceptable' to both.

If anyone out there could take a look with other browsers I would appreciate it. Sadly I have to get back to the day job tomorrow!

            Bridget,

It looks fine in FireFox and Opera, but does have the issue with IE6, it looks like the table width exceeds the 'Width="600"' defined for the bulk area. This is causing the table to push out and go to the bottom of the page.

            Kind regards,

Warning: I am way, way out of my depth here ...

I have taken the problem to the IT guys at work today. They looked at the source view for the shopping cart and say that there is a </div> missing which could be causing the problem. Here is the missing bit in context:-

              /></a><a href="http://www.militaryfigures.co.uk/cgi-bin/ss900001.pl?SECTIONID=shop.html" target="_self" onmouseover="SwapImage('nav_login','button_login_highlight.gif')" onmouseout="RestoreImage()"><img src="button_login.gif" alt="Login" border="0" name="nav_login" /></a></div><div id="contemporary_parent_section_list"></div><div class="contemporary_body_content"></div><div class="contemporary_left_column"><div class="tech_menu_button_border"><div class="tech_menu_button"><a href="http://www.militaryfigures.co.uk/cgi-bin/ca900001.pl?ACTION=SHOWCART&REFPAGE=http%3a%2f%2fwww%

              Are they right?
If they are, where do I find this to change it?

              Thanks
