Account name and buyer both printed on invoices.

I am trialling my site with Actinic at the moment. A problem I've found using customer accounts. All our customers are
retail ie individuals and not companies. When the invoice is printed out it doubles up the customers name which looks stupid. I've worked out where the names come
from. Firtst it puts the name form the 'buyer' section of the account
details then it puts the 'account' name. Ie it puts the account name as the
company on the invoice. That's ok if you sell to a company but I don't, I
sell to individuals. How can I change this?

Are you referring to the Invoice and Delivery names and addresses?
The is the standard way to do it. The goods may be invoiced to one person and delivered to another.

Or am I missing the point of your question?

If both the fields are mandatory to include when creating the account, it sounds like you will need crystal reports to change it for your purpose.

You don't have to complete the company field in the customer details - it's not mandatory. If you leave it blank it will not print on the invoice.

If you want to remove the field from the invoice regardless so it will never show then contact me directly through the forum email.

I have tested this with Martin and it appears that both the names fields are indeed included on the invoice BUT only when you create a customer account manually - when you create it from an order there is no problem.
(Martin is usoing Catalog - I tested with Business)

Can support please comment on this...

I tested this too and got the same problem.

I've checked with development and it looks like the only way around this would be to manually edit the Invoice.rpt file.
