    deploying a snapshot?

    Hi

We own a copy of actinic business multi site as we build many websites for customers. Obviously this allows us to create a new website, build it for the customer and then pass a snapshot onto our customer once we have finished customising the shell's and they have their own actinic license.

This ia how we worked when using version 7 multi-site however i have noticed a bit of a glitch possibly in doing this in version 8?

We have been using the dreamweaver plugins to create templates for our customers sites. Everything appears to work fine on our machines however when we create a snapshot and send it through to the customer, unless we have saved the site under the Site1 folder, we have lots of broken image links appearing on the page. If for example i have created a website called "SampleSite" and when i go into the edit layout details tab in design, it is looking for the template file at C:\Program Files\Actinic v8\Sites\SampleSite\htmlpages\. If i do a snapshot and send this through to the customer who is just using catalog client, it imports the htmlpages folder into the Site1 folder however it is coming up with broken links because this option is still pointing to SampleSite.

I was wondering if anyone has come across this and if there was a better/easier way to prepare a snapshot to send to a customer? I have noticed there is a deploy snapshot option but this didnt appear to do anything different than exporting a snapshot?

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks

Martin, you don't mention which version of v8 you are on? I believe this issue was resolved in v8.5.0
