    Strange SSL Problem for the checkout

    Hi,

    I had a bit of a nightmare with uploading a test site and over-writing my main site. Anyway I have re-uploaded the correct site and have a strange problem with getting the checkout to work.

    I had previously setup a subdomain called secure and have another website using this certificate through this subdomain successfully (this 2nd domain has its own cgi-bin & acatalog set up in a sub-folder as to not to conflict). However, in network settings I have the following setup (which I have uploaded);

    SSLCATALOGURL https://sslrelay.com/secure.enjoyyou...o.uk/acatalog/
    SSLCGIBINURL https://sslrelay.com/secure.enjoyyou...co.uk/cgi-bin/

    The strange thing is that when I go to the checkout the address that it goes to is as follows;

    https://sslrelay.com/enjoyyourgarden...in/os000001.pl

    This address doesn't have the subdomain and so comes up with an error.

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers,
    Mark J

    Sounds lke you should be using a common shared cgi-bin and letting the difference between script ID numbers take care of the conflict possibility.

      Hi Bill,

      Thanks for the reply but what do you actually mean. If I have specified the path for SSL to go to the subdomain in actinic, what is stopping the web page from going to that subdomain; is there a path that needs to be specified on my webserver that actinic isn't actually changing?

      Thanks,
      Mark J

        enjoy uses script id 1
        time uses script id 2

        if both sites share one cgi-bin folder, then enjoy will use all the scripts that end in 1, and time will use all the scripts that end in 2 - no conflict.

        can you show the network settings for each site (make sure to remove username and passwords first) and the folder setup on the site?

          Was this ever resolved?

          I'd agree with Bill about the script ID numbers being the same.

            I've been working late for the last few days so I've not had a chance to try out your advice until now.

            Anyway, whilst the script ID's for each site was 1 & 2, the conflict continued so I changed my main site ID to 3, refreshed the site (which basically re-loaded the entire site) and IT WORKS!

            My main site now refers to the 'secure' sub-domain. I still think it was a clitch in Actinic in not registering my SSL settings, but hey it works (thank goodness customers that tried to purchase contacted us over the phone instead - moral of the story 'always have your phone number clearly on your site!')

            Excellent support guys.
