additional files are uploaded to the web

I thought I would be clever and add my "external database file" to the list of "additional files" (along with other ones)
Sure enough, it now happily saves that file in the snapshot I made - belt and braces - keeps the exact state of the external file in synch with the actinic file
(I know it would be restored in snapshot import - that wasn't the issue here)

but now, I've just noticed that database file being uploaded to the web ! ! !

When I think about it, that makes sense - they are *additional files*

perhaps we need a flag within the additional files to say "save to snapshot=yes upload to web=no"

anyone got any ideas how to link important additional files in this manner?

v7 used to save additional contents of the site1 folder in a snapshot without being declared as additional files... is the database in the root of site1 and have you tried creating a snapshot to see if it is picked up?

it depends how the files are declared within the actinic fragments / library items etc.
many items (background images, style sheets etc) are auto saved in the snapshot, and auto-loaded to the web. (correctly so)

its those extra files that you create (command line batch files etc) but don't want to lose from the snapshot but clearly don't want them uploaded to the web

In v7 any additional items in the site1 folder (original PSD files for example) would get gathered up in a snapshot - having no mention, link or relationship with Actinic. Not yet tried under v8 though.

A snapshot really only takes the files that are required for the website. I will add your request to our wishlist.
