Page Links Help

I have recently set up some links on my store pages, these link into other brochure pages.
They work fine for original pages but dont seem to have carried through to any duplicate pages.
All the info on the link tab has pulled through, but on the live shop the link cannot be seen?
Does anybody know what I have done wrong?

Have you put [link] in the description?

Hi Malcolm,
Yes we have put this in the description and it works on the original pages great. It is only not working on the pages that are copies of products.
If i go into the link tab on the copy it has {LINK] in the description there as well it just doesnt seem to be showing on the live copied page.

I have original pages which are indexed under product type i.e. coats, boots, rucksacs etc.
But I have also set up a brand search, this works by copying pages across from the original indexed pages.
This is where I am having the problem.

Thats a very nice looking site.....

one comment the add to cart button is quite faint, I would suggest darkening it abit to make it stand out abit more.

What version of V8 are you on as there was a bug in the [link] function on early versions. As lee says it should be [link] but i expect the { was a typo

Another thing to check is that the link variable is present in the layout - a long shot but its worth checking.

Hi thanks for all the replies, I am not sure where the { has come from I have checked all descriptions and it shows it as [LINK] both on original and copied pages.
It could be an early version of V8 I think because the guys at caged fish told me I had the first one they did.
By the way I have only set the link up on the Berghaus coat and fleece pages for the size chart.

You should upgrade then as if it is an early version there is a bug in the [LINK] variable which was causing a similar problem to what you are describing.
