Pricing inc. and ex. VAT display?

    Hi all,
I've checked around and can't find the answer to this- I'm building a site which will be trade only, and require a log-in to access prices. I want to display a trade price ex. VAT and a retail price inc. VAT to customers who have logged in.

I've got both prices displayed, but both say "excluding VAT at 17.5%" after them even though in fact the retail price displayed is the inc. VAT price.

Ideally all I need to do is remove this text from the retail price, but if I remove this using design/text it also removes it from the ex. VAT trade price.

Any help would be appreciated- as it's a trade only site requiring a log-in I can't post the URL I'm afraid.

    Many thanks as always!

Hi Bruce, just upgraded to 8.05. I've not looked through the upgrade properly- is there a way to do it in the new version?

        Ben,

There is a Bug in v8 that converts inclusive prices display to exclusive prices on logging in. So if you set your prices up to be inclusive for the retail customer then a logged in customer will see exclusive prices.

This however is slated to be fixed in an upcoming release so will not work the way you want it after that. I will check with development to see what they say.

        Kind regards,

          Ben,

All prices are calculated on the desktop, the prices are not recalculated on the web site so to achieve what you want would mean having both prices (including and excluding tax) uploaded to the server.

I will add this to the wish list for you.

          Kind regards,

Thanks Bruce, it's no big deal as it's not accessible to the general public but it would be good to fix.
