Logout Button

Please could someone tell me how I can add a logout button to my site...

I know how to do all the site design bits, I just cannot for the life of me find the link/variable to allow a customer to log out.

Does the login link not change to logout after a customer has logged in?

No, it disappears altogether.

If it should change automatically, I could modify the menu layout so it always displays the button regardless.

Once logged in do you see a message that has a welcome link with the customer account name and a logout link beside it?

Can you provide a link and a test username and password so that we can test this for you.

I have the same problem - how to get a Log Out link?
I get the welcome message but no Log Out link!

If you look on the design tab and search within the 'Layout Code' for where it has the welcome message, you should see something like this in the code 'NowServingCurrentAccount'place your cursor at the end of it and right click and select 'Insert Variable' and from teh list select 'LogoutSimple'. Click on apply and update the store..

Cant find it

I may be being stupid, but I cant seem to find anything that resembles this, could you tell me which layout code section it can be found in.

If you go onto the 'Design' tab, then on the content tree to the right, click on the top most level of your catalog, in the layout code below, you should see the code I mentioned around line 138 or so.

These both end at around line 123, any suggesetions?
