PSP that allows pre-ordering over 30 days

I use Actinic along with Protx and am going to have problems with the advertised Protx changes.

Since Protx is now changing from PreAuth to Authenticate and Authorise, it is going to cut down the pre-order time to 30 days, which is not good if you are wanting customers to pre-order a book due to be published in a couple of month's time.

Are all PSPs going to work this way (because of bank demands) or is it just Protx? Anyone know a way of allowing a longer pre-order time?

    Many thanks

If you are on about pre-authorised transactions, where the card is charged but not deducted until such time as you complete the transaction, then 30 is already a very good delay for such completions, with most only suggesting a maximum delay of 10 days.

POS terminals are slightly different and again vary from provider to provider, but we have also looked at this for a number of customers with no obvious 'out of the box' solution that keeps things pretty much as they are now.

You can not under the new Protx system even complete the payment and refund to later do a repeat payment, as that is no longer available under the new system, so the only thing we could see working was direct receipt of customer card details (securely within the site) and into Actinic, and then processing once to make sure funds are available, and then cancelling the payment and when it comes to despatch, then doing it again (all done in the VSP terminal) - but again this throws up a number of issues.

Good luck is all I can say
