When I change the text for QuantityPrompt in Design Text | Misc from the default Quantity to Quantity Required, it doesn't change in the layout.

It could be hard-coded into the layout - in design tab view click on the actual text in the top pane and it will open the layout in the bottom pane ... you will either see the words in plain English or a blue variable - the sledgehammer approach is to replace either with plain text to suit.

Thanks for that -- I was going to do as you sugested to work round the problem, but couldn't work out why it just wouldn't go in.
With all the 'bug' talk going on, I thought this may also be one to add to the list.
