Default Product Image doesn't display in search results

I'm in the middle of developing a site and have set a default product image for the store to allow for missing images. The image displays when browsing the catalogue but not in the search results. What am I doing wrong?

I have selected Settings > Search Settings > Display Product Image.

I've currently got the site under trial hosting at http://trials.actinic.com/trials/trial38563/index.html if anyone cares to take a look.

(I entered the product information via a text file import if that's relevant).

There is something quite wrong with the search results page (when viewed under Firefox at least) ... I would be inclined to reset back to factory default (in the library right click on the layout and select revert to factory) and build it back up slowly.

I've just tested this out on a default site and it seems like the search results don't read the 'default product image'. I'll check with our development team if it is possible to get this working.

Our development team have come up with a workaround for this. Take a backup of your current 'c:\program files\actinic v8\Sites\<site name>\SearchScript.pl' file and then unzip the attached amended file into the site folder. This workaround contains the image name to be used for the default image in the search results so either create an image called 'custom.jpg' or edit the script in notepad and search for 'custom.jpg' and replace this for the name of your image. Note, that it will rezise the image if you are have this option set ('search settings | Results tab | 'resize image').

Also note that this won't work on our trial server as this does not use the scripts from your pc. It uses it's own set of scripts that can't be amended, however it will work on your normal server.
