DIVs overlapping in CSS Layout theme

Have just upgraded to Actinic V8.5 and started creating a site. I have done little more than select the Clean CSS Layout theme as I would like to use CSS over table layout and wanted to see if the theme was any good. Previewing in IE 6.0 browser all is fine but previewing in the latest IE browser on Vista is rendering the horizontal page header navigation differently and placing the div class 'page header' so that it is partially obscured behind the div class 'page menu'. This makes it difficult to see what's in your shopping cart and to click the 'view cart' and 'checkout' links.

I can't see any obvious reason for this and am a bit loathed to stick the page header and page menu in a table to force the proper layout.

Any CSS layout officionados know why this might be happening or how to cure it. Also, anybody aware of any other glitches with the Clean CSS Layout theme I should be aware of?

If you do a search the solution to the problem was posted recently by Actinic support

      Thanks

Thanks Malcolm. I did try a variety of searches before posting but couldn't find anything. Can you point me in the right direction?

          Hi Jem

Could you post a screenshot of the problematic page - also there is no div called 'page header' in this theme - so I'm struggling a bit to imagine what is happening.

Do you have a live or test URL for someone to take a peek at?

Typical things to check are ...

if the divs are being positioned absolutely,

the z-index of the divs and

if any of the divs are actually inside an existing table .. despite the reference to clean CSS most of the themes layout certain parts of the site in tables (for ease and consistency) ... in these cases a floated div can also "slide" over a table to obscure the content beneath
