Best Sellers - Error Prompt

I'm using Actinic Version 8 Multiuser (8.5) running on Vista Business.

When I go to access the best sellers list from the menu, I get an error message appear. Also, when making changes to the layout I have inserted the bestsellers selector into - it resets and displays nothing.

I think this problem might be related to the error message I get when selecting the best sellers list from the menu.

Has anyone experience this problem?

Has the Db got any orders in it to create a best seller list?

If you can click ok, are you then able to select fixed products and tick them and once reached the 10 you have on the dialog, does it then open okay from then on?

I'm afraid that this is a known issue and we are working on fixing it in the next release.

Don't know about this one and I can't recreate it. Can I just make sure that when you insert the variable into the layout that you are clicking 'Apply' and not 'Cancel' (I know that I've done that many times). Also, can you let me know the exact variable that you are putting in (ie BestSellersList).

Thanks for informing me on your known issue.

With regard to loss of the Best Sellers list, I do click apply.

Basically whenever I make a change to the template I have inserted the Best Sellers layout selector - on uploading my changes (such as a simple text amend) the best sellers list has been lost. And I have to select the data in again.

Are you selecting the "lock" checkbox on each product?

Bingo! That's where I might be going wrong.

I never used lock as I thought by locking it wouldn't be based on sales figures anymore. And the products in the list wouldn't refresh.

Which bring me to my next question. Will the list auto refresh?
