    Payment service provider integration

    Hi all,

We're looking into integrating a payment service provider into a website that we have made (www.euroschools.co.uk). What payment service providers let you integrate their service into your website? Is there anyone who can suggest a particular provider that has worked well for them? We are in the UK and will only be operating in the UK if that makes a difference.

I've searched around and found several topics on payment service providers being integrated into your website but only found topics on version 7 of Actinic not version 8.

    Thanks in advance.

Actinic integrates with a number of PSP's as standard. Check out their website for details or perhaps have a look in the software itself, there is quite a large list of options.

We need a PSP that will be on our website so the customer doesn't get directed away from our website to pay, they look as though they're paying on our website then.

      Thanks for replying.

Not possible - the list is in the software you need to use one of them or buy the integration software from Actinic and DIY.

I think you will need to buy the developer kit at about £1,000 then if i remember correctly.

Or capture details using SSL and process offline, however this method appears to be frowned upon currently and ultimately will be scrapped if i have understood things correctly.

Malcolm, when you say software I'm guessing your talking about the same thing as Lee?

I think we'll have to scrap the idea if it's going to cost that much, although the SSL idea is a way around it, like you said, it is frowned upon so it's probably not the thing to do.

There was me thinking it would be a fairly cheap process!

(hoping for someone to burst on here with a miracle solution that is cheap!)

I would get a flask, blanket and a hamper dude, it won't happen.

Me and Mal are talking about the same thing yes, i think it is called the "developer kit", however don't quote me on that. I heard about the price tag and thought "yep" i'll find other ways lol.

Checkout Paypal...they have a Pro option "Website Payments Pro" which allows customers to checkout on your own website. Not used it myself yet so needs a quick look to see if it suits.

Paypal Pro is only available on "Express" at the moment. Those Express users get all the good stuff lol

Isn't Paypal Pro only available for the US? We're in the UK plus we don't have Actinic Express and we're not planning to get it either.

I think we'll just have to come to terms with the fact that it can't be done (cheaply!).

                      Thanks for all the help.

Ah, just realised I was reading a very old post saying it was only available in the US. Can you only use it with Express like Lee said? I shall have a look.

                          Thanks again.

                            Rob,

PayPal Pro is currently only available with Express. We are looking at getting the service incorporated into the software I will not be able to give you dates but it will be in a future maintenance release.

                            Kind regards,
                            Bruce King
