text at the top of a catalogue page?

I have spent a good long time today searching the forums but could not find anything so I am sorry if this has already been discussed.

Is there any way that I can get some text or maybe even an image and text at the top of a catalogue page?

I am selling a product where the description will be the same for all items, it will just be a colour change so I want to have the description for the whole range at the top of the page and then in 3 columns underneath I will have images, name, price and add to cart. (I have managed to get the products into 3 columns)

This is what I want:

descriptive text at the top of the catalogue page blah blah blah

product product product

product product product

I would be very grateful if anyone can help me?

Have a look into fragments, they should do exactly what you want.

I tried that this afternoon but it pushed the 3 products columns and of sync. Am I doing something wrong?

Have you got a url we can take a look at?

Are you aware that colour choices can be added as choices to a product via a drop down box?

It sounds like the fragment is affecting the table layout below, may need to change type of layout, it is definitely possible though.

I don't have a URL at the moment.
I am aware of the drop down box but i want actual images of each colour, I know! I'm being difficult....
I just wanted to say thanks for the help and I think I will have to find someone that can write the html for me so it does what i want, thats the advice actinic gave me yesterday morning!
