Customer account not working properly

Hi

I have set up a customer account using Test account with username and password exactly as per the Running your Actinic Store book on page 35.

The problem I am having is when not logged in I can see ALL the products but when logged in (using a as the login and password) I see a category page but if I click on any of the category links to go to a product page I don't see the products I just see "Online Catalogue"

I have checked the visibility, I can make "visible" to either retail or trade but not visible to both. Could this be a bug in the latest version of Actinic?

Hi Steve,

I wonder if this could be a problem with your product layout.

Could you please try changing one of your products to a different layout like, "Standard with Image on Right", just so we can check to see its not a customisation issue.

Also can you un-compact your cgi/html in Design | Design Options.

Thanks for your reply. I have got it working, but in a mickey mouse kind of way, if you see the attached jpeg I set up 3 groups and ticked 2 for each product and it works. I am customising the website on the Smart theme as per my boss's instructions, but I am very new to Actinic and still finding my feet.

Also what does uncompacting cgi/html achieve?
