Deploying Site

Is there a way to deploy a client's website including only the tabs they will need? I thought this was the function of the 'deploy partial site design' function, but when we select only certain property tabs I'm finding that they are all being included (eg digital download, discounts etc) when we import. Ideally we would like to export only a few basic tabs to begin with so that clients dont ge too confused, then gradually feed in the others as they get used to the software and need more functionality

the tabs that are displayed are relevant to the version of actinic purchased, additionally you can restrict activity by using the tick boxes on "allow on this PC" but this is only for restricting to downloading orders only, product input, network setup etc.

the design snapshot is for DESIGN features only ie it brings across the layouts you can changed.

So are you saying that we can't deploy a website from our designer software to be imported into 'client' software and remove tabs such as 'digital download' and 'links' in the Product Details section?

The tabs are a function of the client software version not the design import. I don't believe there is a way to restrict them.

Just to confirm what Duncan has already told you, the tabs are a part of the software and will be available on the clients PC and cannot be limited by a design export to the client.

OK, many thanks. It's a steep learning curve with this software but it's well worth the effort.
