Grid layout with buy now buttons on?

i have seen on DRounding's fancylines page

he has a grid layout that i can mange but how do you get the buy now options etc on that page
then when you click on the image it takes you to the larger info but keeps the rest of the website around it

i have tried the extended info button to open a new page, but that looses the rest of the site

any clues?

or does Duncan want to tell all

Simple really. All products on that site have their own section - one product per page. The grid layout is actually a collection of duplcates in another section. Clicking on the more info link or image takes you to that product's section page.
