Site not updating

I have been running our online shop for along time now, and its been working fine,
but a problem has occurred

but the first page doesn't want to update its self when i change the text on it and i do an update or refesh

I've had this problem with the home page also. To get round it i made a drastic cut of some content, then applied the change and then pasted the content back in. For some reason, i find that changes on the home page are not always picked up, especially if only minor.

Try that see if it works for you. Make sure you press CTRL-F5 to force a refresh on the page in your browser too.

I have had the same problem and at times had to resolve to the drastic measure of going to the hosting site, where there is typically some application that lets you upload from your Pc - you do need to be careful where you put it

i have tried removing the content from front page and updating it but no luck, it still stays the same. i have tried added new section as well.

The rest of the site is updating though

Wipe the page off the server and then update the site, see if that cures it. It will be forced to upload it then.

tried that all ready also check the local copy of the file, i believe actinic is not saving the changes to a html file. But when i open actinic everything is there

James, if you have done all of the following and still no joy, i'd suggest contacting support:

1. Changed the content and then changed it back and uploaded
2. Tried an upload AND a refresh (there is a difference with these two)
3. Wiped the page off the server and uploaded
4. Confirmed a network test is ok
5. Tried building an identical page with the same info, once created remove the old one and try a refresh again
6. Compacted the database

If all that has been done, i can only see a call to support as your next step. Occasionally you get glitches with Actinic, however above steps like above often cure them 99% of the time, looks like you might be making up the other 1%.

and forgot i did so it never updated my index file :stupid:
