Strange that one Chris, if it is known why was it not addressed in this release? Upgrading versions in V8 is getting a bit annoying, when you work on one store, not a biggy (but still a pain), but when you manage several it is annoying...just venting ....JMHO

Anyway, not sure if it is a bug or not, but when you work on the design via the tab and then switch back to content view, has anyone else noticed that you have to go back into design and out again to be able to change your selection (ie move from section to section, product to product etc)

I Do! I make my selection and then do a space or something and click apply. This gets it to the correct screen...

Must be one for the fix list then me thinks.

This used to happen but was corrected in 8.04? Now it is back like a bad penny....

            Any News Chris?
            Grrr grrr Microsoft Vista.

There is a suspected problem with importing data into Actinic when using Vista which we are currently investigating. This has delayed the final release of the software for a few days.

                Hi Chris,

Does this mean that people without Vista should be ok to go ahead?

                Dave...

                      Where's Paypal Pro?

I just downloaded and installed the 8.5.1 beta so i could see what the Paypal Pro configuration looked like (I applied for Paypla Pro just recently). I don't see the option in Payment Methods.

What have I missed? Do I have to remove the 'classic' Paypal method first?

Paypal Pro is one of the boxes that need to be ticked by the end of our evaluation. (Google Checkout was another, but let's not go into that...)

Justin - you need to install the full version, and not just the patch, in order to get PayPal Pro.

I did the full install upgrade and all's well - and nothing lost in the process, thanks.

Darren - when you upgrade you have two choices:
                                • Upgrade with a patch
                                • Upgrade with the full version
A patch just adds in the changed system files - replacing files with new ones - and it also offers you the choice for your site of whether you want to upgrade to use the new layouts, or keep the ones you've got.

A full version works exactly the same, except it replaces all system files - not just the changed ones. It upgrades site data in exactly the same way.

You don't need to uninstall first in order to install a full version. It's how I upgrade all the time.
