Basic header manipulation problem

Hi

After a long delay due to other commitments ive finally started using our actinic software, so far so good seems a nice product.

However im having terrible problems manipulating my banner page as seen

Ive created a banner, which im happy enough with, but cant seem to

a) centre it
or
b) Get rid of the blue to the right of my banner, without messing up the colours on the rest of the site.

I know its a very basic question, but ive spent hours trying to fix this, with no luck at all, any help or guidance on where i should be looking would be greatly appreciated

From settings change the colour scheme, it also changes other areas of the site. To remove the background change Smart Header Area remove the table style.
