    V8 crashes

    Hi all,

I was just creating a new layout for pack pricing, clicked apply and Actinic through me out. Now when I start up Actinic it crashes immediately!

Any ideas on how to recover.

    Regards

Thanks Jont but that didnt work. Still the same problem.

I'm using multi site, so it lets you login but then crashes as it starts loading the current site.

Don't try and load it if there is a problem, go the design library and return the layout you was working on back to factory settings and start again. It sounds distinctly like you have trashed the layout.

The trick is to load a different site to the one that is crashing ... that will open OK .. you can then swap to the killed site and compact the database.

            Hi Jont,

How do I load a different site if Actinic crashes as soon as I enter my password?

              Try using :

              C:\Program Files\Actinic v8\Catalog.exe /s "site name" /w password

If you have Access, try opening the database of this site in Access, it will probably say ' this database is corrupted ' or somesuch and 'do you want Acces to try to repair' this usually works fine.

I assume of course that you have a recent snapshot in case it goes pearshape?
